David Thill is a Managing Director at Starboard Value LP, where he is primarily focused on Wealth Management Platforms, Family Offices and Private Clients. Prior to joining Starboard in July 2020, Mr. Thill was Head of Business Development for Cowen Investment Management (formerly known as Ramius LLC), where he also led the firm’s Family Office Business. Before joining Ramius, Mr. Thill was a Managing Director at K2 Advisors and a member of its Operating Committee. There, he formed and directed the firm’s global distribution organization and diversified its client base. Earlier, Mr. Thill spent three years at Meridian Capital Partners as Managing Director and Global Head of Distribution, where he built and led the firm’s global intermediary distribution network and expanded its non-US client base. Prior to Meridian, Mr. Thill spent 14 years at Eaton Vance Corporation, serving as Vice President, Regional Sales Director for New England. He began his career in 1985 at Merrill Lynch.
